The 2023 Nissan Rogue is Priced from $30,548 in Canada

• The Rogue is offered in five trim levels: S, SV, Midnight Edition, SL, and Platinum.

• All-wheel drive is optional on the S and standard on every other version.

• A Platinum model equipped with every available option and accessories ends up at $53,514.

The Nissan Rogue continues to be very popular in the compact SUV segment and for 2023, it receives more tech as well as a new Midnight Edition model.

Launched in 2021, the current generation of the Rogue also received an entirely new engine last year which is standard in every version except the S.

This new 1,5L turbocharged 3-cylinder engine benefits from the same variable compression technology found in some INFINITI models to deliver 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque as well as a fuel consumption of only 8.4 L/100 km in the city and 6,7 L/100 km on the highway. This engine is paired with a revised CVT transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

The entry-level Rogue S continues to be powered by the older 2.5L four-cylinder engine that generates 181 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque, again via a CVT transmission. This powertrain comes standard in a front-wheel drive configuration, but AWD is a $1,850 option.

Speaking of this model, the $30,548 Rogue S offers a list of standard features that includes 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps and taillamps, heated side mirrors, black door handles, tinted rear glass, a six-way manual driver seat with power lumbar support, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, illuminated visor vanity mirrors, a cargo cover, push-button ignition with remote keyless entry, an 8-inch infotainment touch screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, paddle shifters, and a four-speaker audio system.

In terms of driver assistance technologies, the Rogue S benefits from forward collision warning with brake assist and pedestrian detection, cruise control, rear automatic braking, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, automatic high-beams, driver attention monitoring, rear parking sensors, and hill start assist.

SV

The $36,598 Rogue SV adds the 3-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive as standard, but also a range of features such as auto stop/start, adaptive cruise control, Intelligent Lane Intervention, a 360-degree camera system, Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention, and ProPilot Assist. Other additions include 18-inch alloy wheels, body colour door handles, a panoramic sunroof, roof rails, an 8-way power driver’s seat, remote start, an intelligent key access system, a Wi-Fi hotspot, 5 years of Nissan Connect services, a six-speaker audio system, and a security system.

Midnight Edition

Drivers who want their Rogue to have a more aggressive look can opt for the $39,248 Midnight Edition which is based on the SV model but adds gloss-black 18-inch alloy wheels, a power liftgate, a black front grille, black outside mirrors, black badging, a black rear diffuser and black roof rails. Inside, the Rogue Midnight Edition also comes standard with heated rear seats, sunshades in the rear doors, and leatherette upholstery.

SL

The Rogue SL continues to add features to the SV and Midnight Edition models to justify its $40,998 price tag. As such, it includes front and side parking sensors, ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link, traffic sign recognition, 19-inch alloy wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, a 4-way power passenger seat, a tri-zone automatic climate control system, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a memory feature for the driver’s seat and mirrors, genuine leather upholstery, a reverse tilt-down function for the side mirrors, a cargo divider, a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, 3 months of Sirius XM with Travel link, a built-in navigation system, and the new for 2023 Alexa integration.

Platinum

At the top of the lineup, the $43,248 Platinum version adds luxuries such as LED front turn signals, quilted semi-aniline leather upholstery, remote folding rear seats, ambient lighting, a wireless charging pad, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, a head-up display, a Bose premium audio system, as well as a driver seat-mounted center airbag.

Options and accessories

Nissan doesn’t offer options or even packages on the 2023 Rogue, but it does make a long list of accessories available to buyers.

In terms of colour choices, only black is standard. This means that grey costs $135, red and white are $300, two-tone blue and champagne are both $630, and two-tone grey and white are $795 affairs. Neither the black nor tan interiors require a supplement.
